#51022: Problem installing lgeneral during building phase.

 Reporter: hauxc413@… | Owner: macports-tickets@…
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: Normal | Milestone:
Component: ports | Version: 2.3.4
 Keywords: | Port: lgeneral
------------------------+--------------------------------
I've been trying to install lgeneral recently using macports and during
the building phase of the installation I always get an error that says
"Error: org.macports.build for port lgeneral returned: command execution
failed." I've tried cleaning and reinstalling several times and I've even
tried just building lgeneral myself from its source code that I download
from SourceForge, but that doesn't work and I'm definitely not computer
savvy enough to make it work. I'm running Mac OS X El Capitan version
 10.11.4 on a MacBook Pro with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor. I'm
pretty sure I've installed all of the missing Xcode command line tools by
running "xcode-select --install." It seems that the port hasn't been
updated by macports for a few years now because the version that macports
downloads is something like 1.1.1, while the version available on
SourceForge is 1.3.1. Maybe it just isn't compatible with modern Apple
computers anymore but I remember installing lgeneral using macports
probably in 2007 or 2008, and even then it could sometimes be a little
buggy, but I also remember the game being an absolute blast to play so if
there's anything I can do, besides installing Ubuntu and compiling and
playing it there, I'd greatly appreciate it.
