 I pushed a new update that has a more elegant workaround. `ffmpeg-VLC` now
 builds using `--build-suffix=-VLC`, meaning all generated libraries now
 have a `-VLC` suffix. That evidently shows up in the .pc files too; the
 only not-so-nice fix that remains to be done is renaming the .pc files to
 remove the `-VLC` suffix from them (or rather, install symlinks making
 them available both with and without the prefix).

 David: can you have another look please? I don't plan to keep the ffmpeg-
 VLC subport in a separate file, evidently, but prefer that as long as I
 still need to tweak it.
