 list]
 and
 [https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-46292 a related bug report] (which
 has a [https://bugreports.qt.io/secure/attachment/51586/0001-Fix-
 compilation-with-libressl.patch patch]),
 the conclusion seems to be that this is more or less an issue for LibreSSL
 to fix.[[BR]]
 More recently,[https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/154800/ a patch was
 submitted] to support LibreSSL, but it was rejected.[[BR]]
 The current plan is to support LibreSSL more fully with a new backend.

 I am inclined to wait for the upstream developers to come up with a
 solution and incorporate any fix they come up with.
