 This is only a guess, but perhaps it is a permissions issue.[[BR]]
 After installation of octave fails, please run

 cd
 /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_math_octave/octave/work/octave-4.0.2/Octave.app/Contents/
 ls -al
 file Info.plist
 }}}

 Hopefully, you get something roughly like:
