Comment (by raimue):

 `./autogen.sh` requires autoconf, which creates a chicken-and-egg problem
 for bootstrapping MacPorts on a new system. This is the same reason why we
 also include generated man pages in the repository, which would otherwise
 also add asciidoc and docbook-xsl to the build dependencies.
