 valgrind has included "preliminary support" macOS Sierra in the 3.12
 branch (svn version `r15976`). They plan to release valgrind 3.12 on 20

 I'm not a maintainer, but I may be able to provide a portfile patch for
 valgrind-devel in the short term.
