 I'm sceptical, the script stalled for around 10 minutes originally (the
 second run was verbose as printed above). As it is, I manually downloaded
 the correct version of xorg-libXrandr from xorg's official website and
 that resolved the issue directly.

 It is normal for some mirrors to miss the latest versions of tarballs,
 possibly due to slow propagation?
