Comment:

 As this ticket tracked the build problem, I will close it now. If the
 segmentation fault continues to exist in valgrind/valgrind-devel, please
 open new tickets or even better just talk to upstream directly. I will not
 investigate problems on legacy versions of macOS. Sorry.
