 The reason I chose to call it 1.23 is because I was hoping for an official
 release of 1.24 and using `1.24-<something>` would require changing the
 epoch. Then again I'm in doubt that version 1.24 would ever be released at
 all. Maybe I can switch to 1.25 then.

 I committed r154365. But version 1.24 vs. 1.23 is just a cosmetic one.
