 Thanks for your detailed explanation. I don't know why I need atk at the
 very beginning. It must get installed because of some dependency.

 I tried to follow jeremyhu's instruction. But after I run clean
 all/selfupdate/upgrade outdated. I hit another error in my port build.

 I need to figure it out how to resolve it first. TBH, it is too early to
 claim that macport supports Sierra.
