 We are already downgrading connections to our own mirrors to HTTP without
 SSL/TLS on older systems (see [https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/blob/7e31bb5f12deb6cb22487c24afa3f40f3771dd26/_resources/port1.0/fetch/archive_sites.tcl#L4
 archive_sites.tcl]). This would already help with many ports on these
 legacy systems, but our [ticket:53347 distfiles mirroring has not been
 brought back yet] after we left macOS Forge.
