 No. There is a bug in MacPorts base that often causes the last error
 message shown to be irrelevant; please ignore it. If I knew where in the
 MacPorts base code to fix this problem, I would, but I don't.

 When looking in a log for the cause of a problem, you should be focusing
 on the first error, not the last one.
