 I Googled the error message, and the found #41138 which says to try
 running `xcode-select --reset`.

 I recommend you install the command line tools as well. Not all ports
 require it, but some currently do. We hope that MacPorts 2.5 won't require
 the command line tools anymore, but 2.5 hasn't been released yet.

 The kernel debug tools are not used by MacPorts.
