 If it were up to me, the gcc variants would be removed from the boost
 port, since they cause these problems.

 Looks like based on a patch proposed by Michael in #50671, I
 [changeset:416525222a7c68e719d9c836c54cff1a6a352e73/macports-ports re-
 added the gcc variants] after
 [changeset:17fd9870a2c54e4df9ebbf5e675aae2b0a522d4c/macports-ports having
 previously removed them]. So Michael, can I remove them again?
