New description:

 The current version of gdal (2.1.2_1) does not handle US Survey foot for
 +netcdf.  Instead it leaves blank data in the file.  This bug was just

 I would like to see this fix propagated into the macport version.  [[BR]]
 I am not sure if this fix is incorporated into gdal 2.1.3 yet or not, or
 if there is a lag.  There is another ticket for that update:  #53475
