 Hey, thanks for the fast response.

 I figured the problem. You are right. I was following a tutorial from a
 book by author Joseph Howse who made me change the rsync properties to
 nummist.com. Removing that line from my sources.config file and trying to
 install OpenCV directly from the repos at Macports worked perfectly. I
 didn't know how to delete the ticket, but just putting this information
 out there for anyone else following the same book and running into similar
 issues.
