 I was going to wonder whether updating to the latest PyQt5 would help,
 since it's at 5.7.1 (which is designed to work with SIP 4.19, BTW), and
 the port is currently at 5.6(.0). I know that updating Qsci required
 updating SIP, so maybe that's the case with py*-pyqt5? Seems likely.
