 (I'm pretty new to using the command line)

 I originally tried to install splash via downloading the source code but I
 gave up on that. As a result I have some duplicated files: the SPLASH
 source code is on my Desktop and the cairo libraries and headerfiles are
 located in /usr/local/lib and /usr/local/include, respectively.

 The command I initially used for installation was
 {{{
 sudo port install splash
 }}}
 which gave an error. So I used
 {{{
 sudo port clean splash -all
 }}}
 tried to install again and repeated this proccess a few more times.

 Every time the error is:
