Comment (by Ionic):

 Audacious also required C++11, so it's only compatible with OS X 10.8 and
 higher. MacPorts will automatically check and abort if requisites are not
 matched.

 If you do not need LIRC support in `audacious`, simply disable the `lirc`
 variant for `audacious-plugins`.
