 Attached is a proposal for a new way of handling C++11.[[BR]]
 This approach had had some success with [https://github.com/macports
 /macports-ports/blob/master/math/octave/Portfile octave] (see
 #53044).[[BR]]

 This issue has been discussed many times on the mailing list (see e.g.

 [https://lists.macports.org/pipermail/macports-

 Currently, the best solution seems to be LibcxxOnOlderSystems.[[BR]]
 Of course, this doesn't yet work on the buildbots (see #50448).

 This ticket depends on #53329 and #53194.
