Comment (by Gord-Butler):

 Updated to MacPorts 2.4.0 through selfupdate. Attempted to upgrade
 outdated ports, including gmic. As before, the application (Terminal?) ran
 out of memory after 60 minutes of build time. I've attached a log file for
 the most recent attempt.
