 At any rate, the error seems to be:

 clang: error: argument unused during compilation:
 '-L/Users/ur20980/src/openssl-1.1/lib' [-Werror,-Wunused-command-line-
 argument]
 }}}
 and doesn't appear to have anything to do with the size of a 16-bit int,
 as far as I can see.
