 Well, I'm probably just incorrect about it being a wxWidgets issue. I just
 want it working! I tried building with the {{{+wxgtk30}}} variant and that
 failed too.

 My next step is to build from the latest trunk revision as you suggest. I
 will update the Portfile if it works for me. I am not planning on being
 maintainer though. I don't really know much about this port.
