 So the real error is that gmake is not working:

 It looks like this problem can occur if you use Xcode >= 8 on OS X 10.11.
 See https://github.com/tarantool/tarantool/issues/1777 . We don't see this
 problem with our precompiled binaries because our 10.11 buildbot builder
 uses Xcode 7.
