 Works smoothly now on my Sierra system with qt4-mac.
 That is by far a better solution than my ad hoc post-configure fix. I also
 tried to find the 'real' source of the problem but gave up in the third or
 fourth layer of configuration stuff (Portfile -> ./configure -> qmake ->
 config-vars from qt4-mac -> ...).
