 Actually, this particular ticket seems to be slightly different from the
 other three ( #54108, #54109 & #54155 ) as this one is about failure
 during configure, whereas the other three are about failure during
 compilation.

 My solution above is for the case of failure during compilation.

 I suspect though (since we are at 10.12.4) that there is no longer an
 issue during configuration, just the problem during compilation.
