 gcc47 and later, all do build gcj.
 According to the comment in the portfile (added in
 [28cd71cff9711a97664bb485be6736e8548c17ce/macports-ports]), java is not
 enabled because of compilation errors.

 Anyway, it seems unlikely that this will be fixed at this point, so I'm
 closing the ticket. Anyone please feel free to reopen if you are going to
 work on this.
