Comment (by SaintBol):

 Some GNU inetutils tools are probably out of date (whois, already provided
 by either Apple whois or whois port which is up to date) or irrelevant
 (traceroute and ping/ping6, which lack SUID anyway, but also ifconfig,
 hostname, dnsdomainname, logger). In summary it would probably be safe to
 limit inetutils to what is usable in Darwin.

 Suggestion: add a few disable lines in the configure invocation:

 --disable-hostname   \
 --disable-ping       \
 --disable-ping6      \
 --disable-talk       \
 --disable-traceroute \
 --disable-logger     \
 --disable-whois      \
 --disable-servers
