New description:
On MacOs HighSierra, python 2.7, the command
{{{
import matplotlib.pyplot
}}}
fails complaining that {{{functools_lru_cache}}} could not be imported.
The fix is to install also the package {{{py27-backports-
functools_lru_cache}}}, which however does not appear among dependencies
of py27-matplotlib.
