Comment:

 Others seem to have encountered this problem (see
 [https://github.com/Homebrew/legacy-homebrew/issues/24258 here] and
 [https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30781214/troubles-when-i-use-homebrew
 here]), but the consensus was that it was a result of a misconfigured
 system.[[BR]]
 I will close this ticket since this does not seem to be a gmp specific
 problem.[[BR]]
 I would suggest trying some of the advice in the links.[[BR]]
 You might also try the MacPorts MailingLists.
