 Problem has been noted from time to time in MacPorts on various ports.

 This looked like the best fix:
 <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26971333/what-is-clangs-equivalent-
 to-no-undefined-gcc-flag>

 and worked nicely.

 The following ports are currently installed:

 }}}

 patch attached.

 Not exactly sure what distribution of systems might need this patch. From
 the packages.macports.org website, looks like it might be darwin <= 12.
