 It's not possible. I tried that when I took maintainership of this port.
 v007 was the last version that didn't have a Linux dependency. v008 only
 builds/works on Linux (it needs `/proc/bus/usb/devices` if I remember
 correctly).

 Unless somebody forks or contributes to upstream to make it work on non-
 Linux systems, I'm afraid that this port will remain stuck to v007
 forever.
