Comment:

 It is possible that the extract phase failed earlier, but the failure was
 not noticed. As this was not a clean attempt, the extract phase is missing
 from the log. Please check if your `/opt/local/bin/xz` actually works.

 As you likely upgraded from a previous version of macOS, please do a full
 [wiki:Migration].
