Comment:

 I've justed tested this with jack2 (#54870,
 [e36ae16764409c89e717408941b18dbf2719a233/macports-ports]) and it works
 for me. Since I can't test on 10.6 (and have little interest in fixing
 problems on such an old system) I'm going to assume this is no longer
 relevant or solved.
