 As described here:

 https://github.com/OpenLightingProject/ola/issues/1192

 it is necessary to add some patches so that the latest protobuf3-cpp will
 work with Ola.

 As we are about to obsolete the old protobuf-cpp port, these have to be
 added to the port soon, and the dependency needs to be changed from
 protobuf-cpp to protobuf3-cpp.
