 some manual steps, until it's worthy of being in the codebase.

 create a folder somewhere like /Users/Shared called sysutils. Inside
 sysutils, create a folder called cppunit. Inside cppunit create a folder
 called files.

 put the patch in files, and the Portfile in cppunit.

 then go in cppunit, and do this:
 {{{
 sudo port -v install
 }}}

 Cross your fingers, wink twice, and you should have cppunit installed on
 your system as a "local" port.
