 Why are you forcing builds from source ? All of root and gcc have binary
 tarballs. so just run

 {{{
 sudo port install root6
 }}}

 to get these. gcc takes a long time to install so you will want to get the
 prebuilt binary.

 I asked you to run

 {{{
 sudo port installed | grep gcc
 }}}

 I cannot reproduce your problems nor was there any issues on the buildbots
 for the latest gcc or root6 updates.
 Whatever is wrong with your checkout is specific to you. Without more
 information I cannot say much more.
