 Thank you. I will update the port. The one issue is that changing the
 emacs dependency to a path dependency to allow emacs-devel would also
 allow the ancient emacs22 or emacs23 ports to satisfy it. But you say that
 those won't work with auctex. I have filed ticket #56949 to remove those
 old ports.
