 Apologies, I submitted this from an outdated copy and forgot about a
 useful additional change:

 - sign the X11.app executable so that the app firewall will offer to allow
 the X11 server to accept incoming connections. Without that you cannot
 even connect to it with a DISPLAY address of the form `localhost:0.0`! It
 is enough to use the default signing identity for this purpose.
