 Build is failing reproducibly even after 'port clean octave'. I verified
 that Xcode CLI tools are current and selected. MacOS High Sierra, current.
 Today I did initial install and self update of MacPorts. During first try
 to build, at one point I was prompted by "Failure to activate bus" to do
 "sudo port -f activate dbus dbus", which I did.
 The attached log file gives details of the compilation problem.
