Comment:

 Specifically I was advised of this problem in regard to MythTV:
 https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/13262. They have fixed it, but we
 don't have the fix in MacPorts yet. Craig, can you update the MythTV ports
 and/or backport the fix?

 There are almost 200 ports that depend on freetype. I'll try to identify
 which of them might use `freetype-config` and see if any patches are
 needed.
