 Hi Matt,

 I note that the port is marked as open-maintainer: anyone is welcome to
 submit PRs! What's more, as Macports is volunteer-driven, stepping in to
 provide an update for a port you are using can be quite helpful.

 For instance, I've been traveling for work, and have only just had time to
 update the port (link below).

 By the way, you ask: "please let us know so a new maintainer can take
 over." Who's the "us" you're referring to? Additionally, I'm happy to add
 new volunteers to the port/project if they've got time to spare.
