 You have to build it as `-universal` on TigerPPC. Actually, `-universal`
 might well best be in your `variants.conf`, as building things
 `+universal` on Tiger PPC is presently all but a lost cause with the move
 to `c++11` and `gcc6` building so much of everything.

 We should be happy it builds as `-universal` at all!
