 OK. That that pretty much sorts out the current state of things. We force
 libc++ on 10.6 to 10.8, and force the compiler to something newish
 (clang-5.0+ sounds fine, I have no desire to start prospecting earlier
 clangs as we default to clang-5.0 for the cxx11 PG anyway, so everyone on
 10.6 to 10.8 already has it installed more than likely).
