Comment:

 It works on my system for both python2.7 and python3.6 - can you update
 and try again.

 Note that I get  this on both python versions

 __main__:1: PyGIWarning: GExiv2 was imported without specifying a version
 first. Use gi.require_version('GExiv2', '0.10') before import to ensure
 that the right version gets loaded.
