 MacPorts allowed me to install unison @2.51.2 on macOS Sierra, but the
 application it installed does not open:

 > You can’t use this version of the application “Unison.app” with this
 version of macOS.
 >
 > You have macOS 10.12.6. The application requires macOS 10.13 or later.

 MacPorts should probably prevent the installation on macOS Sierra and
 older.
