 Thank you for the answer! Sorry for disturbing you again but now, when I
 run "sudo port selfupdate" I get this error message:

 sudo port selfupdate
 Password:
 Version number in metadata table is newer than expected.
     while executing
 "registry::open $db_path"
     (procedure "mportinit" line 642)
     invoked from within
 "mportinit ui_options global_options global_variations"
 Error: /opt/local/bin/port: Failed to initialize MacPorts, Version number
 in metadata table is newer than expected.

 I've looked up in the archives and if it could explain what is going
 wrong, my path is:

 echo $PATH
 /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/opt/local/bin:/opt/X11/bin:/usr/local/munki:/Library/TeX/texbin

 I don't understand why it is failing now.. Yesterday I could run "port
 version", "port search", "sudo port install" with no problems yet it is
 not working anymore.. I've closed it all and restarted my mac but I still
 get the same error message..
