 new discovery:

 when I start lilypond with the

 `lilypond -fsvg test.ly`

 no error message occurs. But the resulting test.ps could not be opened.
 every app I tried gave me an error message like "File is damaged".
 GSView6 shows an empty page. Is nobody having the same problem?
