 I've attached my attempt to update to version 17.12. Thanks to your patch
 suggestion, it does build and even runs. But it seems to still have
 problems. For example, when trying to quit, it crashes with a wxWidgets
 error. Also, when trying to create a new project, there are no listed
 project types.
