 It seems that a number of ports will fail to build, but I tend to think
 that certainly **not most ports** fall into this category. The warning, as
 it is, is simply disturbing, as one can see on the reactions.

 Perhaps it would already help if we looked again at the warning text and
 modify it accordingly. And already the 2nd sentence in the
 [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/35045#comment:1 first reply] in this
 threat provides a good candidate!
